Infant baptisms
and dedications

Many people want to give thanks to God for a child. There are two ways to do this at HTC and in the Church of England. Dedications are open to anybody, whereas baptisms are for families that are regularly part of the HTC church family, with believing parents.

Infant Baptisms

Often known culturally as christenings, baptism is right at the heart of the Christian faith, signifying the commitment of parents, godparents and the church family to raise and nurture the child as followers of Jesus.

Infant baptisms are joyful occasions at the heart of our main morning services which happen each term. As a congregation, we take the baptism as a commitment on our part to walk through life with the family as a community of believers, with the promises we are all making to God and the child. If you are already part of HTC, please fill in the form below to register your interest in having your child baptised at HTC.

Dedications

Dedications are joyful occasions to thank God for the birth of a child. It is an important moment for many families, and any family can have a service of dedication for their new child.

Dedications are short and informal services at lunchtime following our morning services. Please fill in the form below to register your interest in having your child dedicated at HTC.
