Outreach

We are part of a national network of churches working in our local community alongside people of all faiths and none to support individuals and families in need.

We are helping people to overcome pressing social challenges by addressing three key areas: Crisis, Cause and Care.

Crisis

We support those in emergency situations through crisis food provision and other immediate help. This includes working with refugees, those who find themselves homeless and ex offenders.

  • HTC is registered with the Welcome directory. Our goal is to become a place where people who leave prison can find acceptance. We also take a team of volunteers into HMP Brixton to help run Sunday Services and support the prison chaplaincy.

Cause

We identify root causes of poverty and help to advise, equip and signpost people. We work closely with the following organisations to help us achieve this.

Care

We provide community-based support through ongoing wrap-around care such as small weekly groups, drop-in cafes and supportive relationships through the church.

The Breakfast Club

Tuesdays, 9.30am - 11.30am
Trinity House Clapham, 31-33 Bromell’s Road, SW4 0BN (Hall entrance located on Venn Street)

  • The HTC Breakfast Club is open every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12pm for food, warmth and community. Everyone is offered a supply of fruit and vegetables to take away from stalls outside HTC’s church building. At Trinity House, guests are offered eggs and croissants and can access advice on issues such as debt, housing and addiction, as well as signposting to additional services.

Afternoon Tea

For over-65s, Thursdays 1pm once a month
Trinity House Clapham Hall, 31-33 Venn Street, SW4 0BN

  • An afternoon for those over 65 to come together, build community and share tea and cake! There is usually a guest speaker or focus topic, and plenty of opportunity to meet new people.

We take such joy in serving the senior members of our community. We run regular bingo afternoons, afternoon teas and more!

If you would like to be involved, know of someone who would appreciate being part of this community, or have some creative ideas for how to encourage and support the senior community, we would love to hear from you here. You can also find out more details about our events here.

Wednesday Lunchtime Communion Lunch

Wednesdays at 1pm at Trinity House Clapham Hall.

Every Wednesday after our Lunchtime Communion service, we meet together for lunch at 1pm at Trinity House Clapham, SW4 0BN (Venn Street entrance).
